Shana Ba'Aretz For Post High School Students
The Study Program
We want you to have the tools to study independently your whole life. Such skills take time to develop and at Nishmat you will spend up to ten hours a day immersed in Torah study, in chevrutot and in shiurim.
Our students begin their day at 8:30 with an exciting shiur boker in machshava, Mishnah, or Tanach. From 9:30 to 11:30 students learn in the bet midrash working with their chevrutot on the texts of the Gemara, Rishonim, Shulchan Arukh and Tanach, under the supervision of rabbanim and tutors. Shiur is from 11:30 until 13:00. We offer several levels of Gemara and halacha shiurim. At 13:00 we daven minchah together.
Afternoons shiurim begin at 15:00, and students choose between classes in Tanach and machshava. After a break for dinner, students return to the bet midrash for another two hours of seder erev, with optional tracks in Gemara or Tanach.
Our beautiful new bet midrash provides a supportive environment for scholarship and growth in avodat Hashem, and our outstanding faculty open the doors of high level Gemara, halacha, Tanach and machshava.
