Procedure for Obtaining a Student Visa

No student visas should be obtained anywhere except for in Israel.

Students who do not have an Israeli parent(s) will receive instructions from Nishmat on what needs to be done to obtain a visa. Students should be prepared to pay the Ministry of the Interior for student visas upon arrival at Nishmat. The fee for the 2010 is 165 NIS, but is subject to Ministry of Interior policy. Please do not apply to your local Israeli consulate.

Students who have Israeli parent(s) must clarify their status with the local Israeli consulate before coming. If the student does not yet have an Israeli passport and army deferment, please take care of this at your consulate before leaving for Israel.
