“I did not fully appreciate the concept of ‘the question beyond the question’ and the responsibility and opportunity it presented me with until I began practicing as a Yoetzet Halacha almost six years ago. Nishmat’s halachic, medical and psychosocial training has afforded me the opportunity to work with Rabbis, Rebbetzins, medical and mental health professionals, and lay leaders to reflect upon and address the diverse underlying needs of communities and individuals.” In Tova’s first three months in Teaneck, she answered over 330 questions from within the community.
