July 28, 2008 – Fifth Annual Hamptons Torah Colloquium Please join us for our Fifth Annual Hamptons Torah Colloquium for Women and Men featuring Rabbanit Chana Henkin on Monday and Tuesday, July 28-29!

September 12, 2008 – Yoatzot Halacha Program - Chicago Yoetzet Halacha Rachelli Sprecher will speak at Kehilat Chovevei Tzion and will lead a Sunday morning women's learning program.

September 19, 2008 – Yoatzot Halacha Program - Edmonton, Canada Yoetzet Halacha Dr. Deena Zimmerman will speak at Beth Israel Synagogue

October 31, 2008 – Yoatzot Halacha Program - Los Angeles Yoetzet Halacha Bracha Rutner on Shabbat and and will lead a Sunday morning women's learning program.

November 21, 2008 – Yoatzot Halacha Program - Sharon, Massachusetts Yoetzet Halacha Tova Ganzel will speak on Shabbat and at a women's learning group in Cambridge on Motzei Shabbat.



Past:

  • Campus Celebration, Chol Hamoed Sukkot 2007. Nearly 300 of Nishmat's supporters, students, alumnae, and faculty gathererd under s'chach and starry skies for a fetive celebration of Nishmat's new campus. The sounds of a three-piece music ensemble accompanied buests through the Nishmat gates into what many said was "Jerusalem's most beautiful Sukkah."   • The Sigd Festival, November 2007. The Ethiopian Sigd festival falls on 29th Cheshvan, and is a festival unique to this community. The letters s-g-d are the same as in "Mesgid", one of two Ethiopian Jewish terms for synagogue, or Temple, a clear indication of its association with Jerusalem and its centrality in Jewish life and ritual.   • Yom Ha'Atzmaut 5767 - May 2007, On Yom Ha'Atzmaut, the entire Pat neighborhood was invited to participate in a rousing, patriotic ceremony outside Nishmat's campus. Click here to read more about our community events.
  • New Bet Midrash, Winter 2006. We are settling into our magnificent new home. Our architect has created a bet midrash reflecting the holiness, charm, spendor and colors of Jerusalem. Click here to read more out Nishmat's new home, and the contributions coming from our graduates.
