Financial Aid

Nishmat is partnered with Masa Israel Journey, a joint program of the government of Israel and the Jewish Agency. Masa offers a $200 grant and additional  needs-based scholarship for eligible candidates.

In addition to Masa funding, there are other organizations that provide funding for Torah study in Israel, including:

  • NCSY
  • Your local Federation, Israel Experience or Chabad (often have funds for Israel study)
  • Jeff Seidel (providing travel grants of $400)

We recommend contacting these organizations and applying to their assistance programs as soon as you receive your acceptance to Nishmat to allow ample time for processing. In addition, your local synagogue, Jewish Federation and high school may have funding options available.

Nishmat participates in Yeshiva University’s Joint Israel Program. This option is available to all students, regardless of whether they plan to attend YU. For more information, please visit http://www.yu.edu/israel-program/.

Participants of this program have access to many government funding options, please see online for details http://www.yu.edu/israel-program/tuition/.
