For College and Post-College Students

Join the Alisa Flatow Overseas Students Program and join an active, engaging Torah community for women in Jerusalem. As a student in our Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced or Summer program, you will immerse yourself in challenging text-based Torah study, developing skills and a love of learning. At Nishmat, you will experience the spirit of open inquiry, learn in a warm and caring environment, encounter a diverse group of rabbis and scholars, and share your living experience with Israelis.

Shana Ba'Aretz Post High School Year in Israel

Why spend your year in an American bubble when you can reach for the highest levels of Torah learning and personal growth in an Israeli bet midrash? Shana Ba'Aretz, Nishmat's program for post high school students is your opportunity to immerse yourself in an Israeli Torani environment.

Summer Study Programs

This summer the Nishmat's Jerusalem Summer Program will explore the crucial topic - Family and Community: The Ethics and Laws of Relationships. Through a series of units of text-based study of Bible, Talmud, Jewish Law and Jewish Thought we will deal with questions and challenges that arise when trying to create and maintain healthy and growing relationships. The summer program is scheduled for July 1-July 22 (28 Sivan - 19 Tamuz).

N•E•W – Nishmat Ethiopian Women (formerly Ma'ayan)

N•E•W combines Torah learning with a second chance at high school matriculation and a bright future for young women of Ethiopian origin. Each student receives a full tuition-and-dormitory scholarship as well as a living stipend.

Keren Ariel Yoatzot Halacha

Nishmat's ground-breaking Yoatzot Halacha program is the leading halachic studies program for women today. The two-year fellowship program includes in-depth study of Hilchot Niddah under the mentorship of outstanding scholars and poskim, as well as supplementary studies in women's medicine and halacha.
