Kallah Companion
Kallah Companion is an online learning experience designed by yoatzot halacha to complement and enhance traditional kallah classes. The halachot of taharat hamishpacha and the principles behind them - together with straightforward information on women's health, intimacy, and shalom bayit - are presented in a series of clear and detailed lessons. Unit summaries, interactive review questions, and practice calendars enable you to test and apply your understanding. You are encouraged to ask individual questions to the Kallah Companion yoetzet halacha at any point during the course. Click here for a sample lesson or to register. Marriage Companion
Marriage Companion is an online review course designed by yoatzot halacha for married women and their husbands. Section One includes a clear and detailed presentation of the laws of taharat hamishpacha, the principles behind them, and a guide to the halachic sources. In Section Two, you are free to choose from an extensive selection of lessons on women's health and the reproductive life cycle - and their halachic implications - appropriate for all stages of married life. Unit summaries, interactive review questions, and practice calendars enable you to test and apply your understanding. About the AuthorsKallah Companion and Marriage Companion were written by yoatzot halacha Deena Zimmerman, MD, and Ilana Sober Elzufon. Dr. Zimmerman is the author of A Lifetime Companion to the Laws of Jewish Family Life and a practicing physician who also serves as the courses' Medical Advisor. Ilana Sober Elzufon is an experienced kallah teacher and an instructor at Nishmat. The Rabbinic Advisor is Rabbi Yehuda Herzl Henkin, author of four volumes of halachic responsa, Shu"t B'nai Banim.
Registration
The registration fee for each course is $36 US. The fee for kallah teachers is $18 US. Registration fees are dedicated to maintaining and upgrading the courses and to answering questions.
