Alumnae 2019
Rachel Eilon Kochva

Yoetzet Halacha Rachel Eilon Kochva completed the Keren Ariel Yoetzet Halacha Fellowship this past summer (תשע”ט). She has continued her studies, working in Nishmat’s Research Institute for Yoatzot Responsa (Machon l’Mechkar) on the second edition of Nishmat Habayit while studying in Bar-Ilan University’s prestigious Talmud program and  teaching kallot in her community. As part of Rachel’s work with Machon l’ Mechkar,  she recently traveled with a team of Yoatzot to meet with a Senior Endrocinologist at Hadassah Hospital to better understand the latest technology for managing diabetes–how they attach insulin pumps, what is removable, etc. This research will directly assist women with diabetes in keeping Taharat Hamishpacha.

It is a privilege for me to use the knowledge I have gained to help women and couples in their marriage and intimate lives. In the short time I have been in the field, women and men; brides and older couples have approached me to find solutions to the difficulties they encounter. Nishmat brings light and purity to the world with a pleasantness in that is so necessary in these senstive areas of Halacha.”
